When I receive an email to notify me that a new message is available in the forums, would it be possible for the link in that email to point to that message instead of the top of the thread?

Oh, and expand any referenced message ("...#messageId") even if we're logged on and the message was previously read. And highlight any referenced message. I linked from one message to an former one, once, and even though the browser knew how to scroll, it was still pure guesswork to know what message was supposed to be destination of the link.
And actually, some easy way to get at the ID for an old message would be cool, too. Right now, "View Selection Source" in Firefox is the best way. I don't recommend complicating the display, though. I'm not sure the best way to provide an easy "find the anchor" feature.

In addition - IE(8 beta, running on IE7 emulation mode) scrolls to upper part of the page rather than staying at the bottom when "Reply" button is clicked.
